I am wondering if CISCO DVRs will ever get a firmware update it seems like they do not care at all updating it, I hate that guide on my 16:9 TV not only that the On Demand menus are terrible. CISCO DVRs still do not work with Charter App on the i Phone but only MOXI and Motorolas do shouldn't Charter tell customers to upgrade DVRs or it least improve the current device software so it can work with the app?
Support Article ID=2828[/siteshot]Here is the guide update that was promised in my area which has the option 16:9 and never saw this update at all I don't get why it never happened but why is it on Charter site than?
I also have been a charter customer for 20 years until about a month ago when we jumped ship to Dish. I noticed this right away when the installer hooked it up, and he confirmed that this was normal. Charter announced a deal with TIVO for their new DVR, hopefully to start rolling out sometime this year.
Charter was OK, had decent HD, but they stopped giving me the discounts I wanted for cable Internet, so I turned to Dish, which is really a much better deal. I also called Dish and they also confirmed that the noise was normal! Very awkward to do searches with, and sometimes neglected to record programmer shows. This should be a dramatic improvement as it will be accessible house-wide with a much better GUI.
